In Battlefields, Ran Slavin traces the aesthetics of drone-surveillance imagery, using it to depict geological scars and remnants of war across five military sites in Israel — both active and abandoned — including live-fire zones, shooting ranges, and urban warfare training facilities. Slavin draws a parallel between the political scars inscribed upon the landscape and the human body, particularly the female body.
